Herbert Vineyard Fieldtrip

Added By Popular Demand! Another Private Wine Tasting and Barbeque Celebration. First meet at the Toogood Estate Winery at 9:00 am on September 6th. From there we will we will carpool and drive 10 minutes to the Herbert Vineyard ranch where winemaker and owner Marco Cappelli will take you for a tour of the famous Block Five. These vines were planted more than 25 years ago on a beautiful ridge with majestic views. While visiting this beautiful property you will taste the early vintages which scored 92+ in Wine Spectator. Then we will “convoy” back to Toogood Winery for a private wine tasting of library wines and new releases, including barrel tasting the 2009 Herbert Vineyard Zinfandel Future- At knock you socks off low pricing! Bottles signed by Paul of course. Your experience will end with a winery barbecue featuring fresh Alaskan Salmon flown in by one of our club members, barbecue chicken, and an array of summer salads.
