When you visit the Toogood Estate Winery in Fair Play California,
you will have an experience you will remember for the rest of your life.
Whether it is wine tasting in the winery, dining in our beautiful Grand Cave Dining Room or attending an event, you are in for an awesome surprise you and your friends will talk about for a long time to come.
We have not spared any expense in our effort to produce phenomenal wines. We have the best equipment and talented staff working in the only 5000 square foot wine cave in all the Sierra Foothills.
Our wines age slowly and evenly in the year round cool, dark cave. The slow and steady evaporation of alcohol creates wine with intense fruit flavors.
We invite you to come and taste them for yourself!
Sincerely,

2008 Malbec
Malbec originated in the Bordeaux region of France and is famous for its zest & spice. Our Malbec is ripe with fruit flavors, robust and superior to most of the world famous Bordeaux Grand Cru wine.
Marco Cappelli - Winemaker Tasting Notes
Our 2008 Malbec, grown in Fair Play provacatively exhibits a dark, rich deep purple color. Hints of purple violets frolic on the nose, followed by notes of toasty oak, boysenberry jam, blueberries, white pepper, and mint. This Malbec is particulary rich with vibrant overtones of mulberry and plum. Engaging on the mid-palate, this wine is firm and smooth and brightly finishes with accents of white pepper and spice. Pair this buxom Bordeaux belle with grilled meats & vegetables or your most robust pasta dishes.
